After a lengthy illness, renowned actor Shaukat Zaidi passed away on Saturday at the age of 72.
Zaidi was reportedly having kidney treatment from a private hospital in Lahore.

In addition to his thriving acting career, he was involved in journalism from 1970 till 1998.
For ten years, he had also written plays for theaters.
Even though he went on to play a number of dramas, he stole the show as a multi-character actor in the popular TV series “Hum Sub Umeed Se Hain.”
He played a character that embodied the lowest class of society during the performance.
