A new covid variant, JN1, has been discovered and causing concerns worldwide. It is an Omicron subvariant. Six instances of the virus were identified in Pakistan by Tuesday.
According to an Express Tribune report, a Ministry of Health spokesman verified that already four patients had fully healed and experienced no difficulties.
In the midst of the novel strain’s international attention, the World Health Organization (WHO) has designated JN1 as a “variant of interest.” Based on available data, the World Health Organization now rates the strain’s danger to the public’s health as minimal.
The interim health minister, Dr. Nadeem Jan, stated that 90% of Pakistan’s population has received a Covid-19 immunization and that officials are keeping a tight eye on the situation.

Dr. Jan emphasized the value of preventive measures since winter has its own set of obstacles. He urged people to continue wearing masks and to maintain social distancing. The people should also adhere to health recommendations in order to stop the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
The federal government has made the decision to obtain 500,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines. The decision was taken a few days ago. It was done as a reaction to the possible reappearance of the novel form of Covid that has been detected in some nations.
