Mujhay Qabool Nahi seems to be heading in the right direction finally after lingering on for so many episodes. Yet the latest episode hints at that being reversed once again.
Maira (Madiha Imam) has finally had enough and filed a case of domestic violence against husband, Salman (Sami Khan). She went to the police station and registered a new complaint about her husband being a threat to both her and her unborn child. The story about the forced abortion hasn’t come up yet but it is what compelled the complaint.
Maira (Madiha Imam) looks like she has finally decided to take a stand and end the senseless suffering of her ‘child marriage’ but events at the end of the episode suggest the drama writers might be going round in circles in the future.
Mujhay Qabool Nahi – Maira’s Disappointing Family
There were suggestions that once again Dadi, Ami and Mashaal (Sidra Niazi) might start pressuring Maira (Madiha Imam) to take back the case and forgive Salman (Sami Khan). If the drama does move forward in this track, it’ll be a travesty. It is about time Maira is shown to take action against the psychopath and abusive husband. Also, Maira’s family members should all be seen supporting her in this. Anything else would be just wrong.
One more thing that “Mujhay Qabool Nahi” keeps showing is how Salman manages to fool doctors by faking his illness. The writers are clearly showing the doctors as illiterate fools who cannot judge if a person is really sick or just acting it. Salman already got away with it once in the drama and now has again acted sick in the jail and taken to a hospital. Quite unbelievable, really.
Let’s see how the next episode unfolds. Rooting for Maira to finally get her life back, and her family supporting her in this. Is it too much to ask?
