Mujhay Qabool Nahi’s biggest flaw is how it has been stretched for too many episodes.
The drama started out well enough when we had Maira trying to take a stand for herself and refuse a relationship forced onto her when she was only a child.
The issue could have been resolved much earlier and in a much better way. But here we are, 41 episodes later and nowhere close to matters being settled.
Mujhay Qabool Nahi Episode 41 again went back to all characters, except Maira (Madiha Imam), going back to their regressive ideas. Be it Salman’s despicable father (Muhammad Ahmed), Mashal (Sidra Niazi) or Maira’s very infuriating Dadi and Mother.
It all leads to Maira giving in and deciding to take back the FIR against Salman.
This did lead to probably the best part of the serial so far.
Mujhay Qabool Nahi Episode 41 – Highlight:
Maira is blunt and makes her real feelings known to the police officer. She demands police protection for herself to ensure Salman can’t get near her. She also gets back the car Salman had so shamelessly claimed as his own. We literally wanted to give Maira a big hug at this point. The girl has had a miserable time with absolutely no support from her family.
What is most disappointing about this is that the mother is shown to be an independent woman who is a lecturer at a university. Preposterous how she refuses to help out her own daughter and save her life.
Let’s see what transpires now. The drama really needs to be wrapped up. Even though Madiha Imam has been brilliant in her role. Kudos to her.
