Kabuli Pulao, showing on Green TV, had captivated the audiences and gained a tremendous following. It had become the talk of town and showed how people were aching for some different storylines than the usual being churned out by our channels.
Barbeena (Sabeena Farooq) clutched at the heartstrings and compelled everyone to follow along the twists of her life. The innocence and purity of her character won so many hearts. Equally endearing were the scenes where we see Barbeena and the rest of family getting to know each other and accommodate the different cultures.
Kabuli Pulao’s last episode has aired and we definitely got to see a befitting ending to the play. It was beautiful and the perfect way to say goodbye to the story that had gripped the audience.
At the start, we saw how Barbeena had left after Haji Mushtaq’s behavior and gone to Islamabad. The family finds out about it but she leaves before anyone could get to her. No one knows where Barbeena had gone. It looked like she had disappeared and Haji Mushtaq (Mohammed Ehteshamuddin) won’t be able to find her after all.
During her absence, we see Haji Mushtaq and Baraan bonding and talking about their feelings about the woman both have loved. Also, we see Shamim playing a pivotal role as she turns out to be the one who gives the defining advice to Haji Mushtaq about what to do.
Chammo finally confronts Ghaffar and tells him off. Ghaffar had been a despicable character throughout and it was good to see him getting the ending deserved. Chammo slammed the door in his face and told him off.
Kabuli Pulao – The Star:
The ending was beautiful. A befitting one, we can say. And the star of the ending turned out to be…yes, the Kabuli Pulao! It was meant to be.
The drama has ended but Barbeena and Haji Mushtaq’s story was a gripping one. We thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to see more refreshing stuff like this. Glad the ending was a satisfying one for the audience who loved the drama.
